Name: Textile architecture. 3D advertisement!
Date: 2006-12-01

World advertisement market is generally famous for its variety of kinds and forms of advertising vehicles. Advertising possibilities within exhibition event are really ample.

New technologies of stands construction and exhibition place arrangement are widely used in Europe. By stands construction textiles dominate over other materials. Advertising cloth construction is a massive!!! object of any form, which consists of divisible carcass swift with cloth. Taking into consideration that such constructions aren’t heavy alongside impressive size, their form is measured only by your fantasy, any design idea can be realized.

One of the main advantages of a cloth construction is that its place isn’t used by other advertising vehicles. Participating at the exhibition exponent pays for every occupied square meter within exhibition area. As a rule only 1st level measured by the walls of the stand is used. Space between the ceiling and stand though belongs to the exhibitor either isn’t used effectively or isn’t used at all. In many countries this space is occupied by massive advertising objects attracting visitors from every corner of the exhibition hall.

Massive objects may be either separate advertising vehicles or make the part of the stand fitting well into general interior. Separate advertising objects contain information about company or brand which they represent at the market and turn to be informational beacon for exhibition visitors. Cloth objects make perfect design elements, they are pretty informative being its architectonical parts.

Usage diapason is pretty bright and possible variants are limited only by our fantasy. Let us compare with other massive objects made of other materials:
• Metal-plastic massive constructions. They are heavy and, correspondingly, require special levitation conditions. Matching, dismantlement, transportation, storing place, price speak for themselves. Safety: plastic, metal aloft, fire prevention….!
• Vinyl constructions. Vinyl fabric is heavy that’s why object requires strengthen divisible carcass. By transportation vinyl should be rolled and this is possible only with flat construction elements, because monolithic massive object can’t be rolled. Besides, work with metal and vinyl causes some technical restrictions which prevent designers to realize some ideas.
• Massive paper objects. Only small objects can be made of paper, because they crease and logically look deformed. Perfect places for such objects are boutiques, drugstores etc.
• Air-inflated objects. Massive object with sharp edges can’t be air-inflated as well as it is impossible to create cubic balloon. Compressor must sustain air pressure, but this causes such side effects as constant noise and energy consumption. Holes and folds happen to be a usual thing.
Advantages of cloth objects:
• Configuration is limited only by human fantasy and technological peculiarities of some materials
• Not heavy in comparison with the size
• Multicolor image all along the object
• Easy to match and dismantle, a special bag for transportation to the new exhibition place
• Objects can be exhibited both aloft and floor stand
• Object can spin and be illuminated
• Cloth doesn’t need ironing, you should sprinkle it with water and it will smooth
• Materials have certificates for advertising purposes usage
• Fair prices for final products

Cloth objects have some drawbacks:
• Fabric should be clean, when stained it should be washed, but being huge in size it can be really problematic
• Being careless cloth can be torn

Taking into consideration all the drawbacks, advantages are still more valuable. Price and convenience are the crucial facts by decision-making process. One more important fact – cloth is subconsciously percepted as material which entered our life long ago and calls the image of home comfort, peace and prosperity, purity and appeal.

Be innovative by choice of advertising vehicle and your most unreal plan will certainly come true!
