The International Summer University provides an interactive educational platform for the exchange of theoretical and practical trade fair-related knowledge. Participants discuss developments within the trade fair industry and exchange business experience. The 1st International Summer University for Trade Fair Management took place in Cologne, Germany, in August, 2006.

Participants: More than 50 exhibition professionals from 19 different countries attended Speakers: highly acknowledged university professors, CEO's of trade fair companies, trade fair experts from consulting and other trade fair related companies

Each day's programme is dedicated to a specific topic. The topics for the International Summer University for Trade Fair Management 2007 are: Strategy, Product & Price Management, Internationalisation, Services and Future Trends & Challenges. Lectures are given by top executives of trade fair companies and highly acknowledged university teachers and researchers. Case studies - moderated by experts for each topic - ensure interactive discussions among the participants. Participants´ Presentations allow the discussion of the characteristics of different jobs and environmental challenges.
