Legislative Action Conference At LAC, you will gain firsthand knowledge of the inner working of the democratic process, as you learn about the issues facing school nutrition programs both locally and nationally. You also will have the chance to visit Capitol Hill, where you can let elected legislators of the U.S. Congress know your priorities as a child nutrition expert. Finally, you will hear valuable updates from representatives of the U.S. Department of Agriculture, as well as political insights from Washington insiders, including this year’s keynote speaker, Amy Walter, one of the nation's top political forecasters.
