Description
European Congress of Radiology ECR is the annual meeting of the ESR. It is a trend-setting, dynamic and service-oriented congress, well-known as one of the most innovative meetings within the scientific community, embedded in a unique and inspiring ambience. After the great success in 2008, ECR 2009 will, for the second time, feature a ‘Workstation Face-Off’ session.
More so than ever before, radiology in 2009 requires radiologists to be able to deal with various 3D applications and large data volumes. For many applications, different state-of the-art workstations are available.
All major vendors offer an ample variety of hardware and software, and it is often difficult to recognise the comparative strengths and weaknesses of different equipments. Thr Face-Off session will allow you to get an impression of the 3D capabilities provided by the
latest workstation technology.
Several workstations from vendors like GE, Philips Healthcare, Siemens, Terarecon, Carestream and Vital Images will be set up on stage next to each other, and a selection of cases provided by the ESR will be demonstrated. These cases will include large volume datasets like CT angiography of the heart and CT colonography.
The aim of this session is to simulate a realistic ‘reading room’ atmosphere and to give an impression of how different workstations perform an a clinical scenario. We would like to cordially invite you to attend this exciting post-processing ‘competition’.
