Description
Rotorua Soundshell is located at the city’s lakefront overlooking Lake
Rotorua. Built in the 1950’s as a multi purpose facility, it regularly
caters for all types of events from ballet and tap dancing to
children’s pantomime and antique fairs. This venue plays host to many
annual events including the International Laugh Festival, the famous
Soundshell Craft Market and the New Year’s Eve Mardi Gras. It is
headquarters of the International Trout Fishing Tournament,
international film crews and the Tag Trout Contest.
