Description
The Philippine Trade Training Center was established in 1987 by
virtueof Executive Order No. 133 and with the official development
assistancegrant from the Government of Japan through JICA, to
invigorate anexport industry needed for the country’s economic
recovery. It is anattached agency of the Department of Trade and
Industry that assistsexporters, would-be exporters, manufacturers and
entrepreneurs tobecome more competitive in the international market
through training. Initially, the Center focused on 3 main areas
namely: InternationalMarketing, Testing and Inspection, and Trade
Exhibition. In its 18years of existence, PTTC has expanded its course
offerings thatinclude: Production Efficiency, Quality and Productivity
Improvement,Entrepreneurship Development, and IT/E-Commerce. Fully
air-conditioned with a total of 2,010 square meters, theexhibition
halls can accommodate 127 standard exhibition booths fortrade fairs.
More than 3,000 people can be seated a theater-typeset-up. It is
equipped with a knockdown stage, a 16 track sound systemplus complete
stage and house lights.
