Belgrade Fair has got indoor and outdoor exhibiting space, and the
total exhibiting area is 100.000 sq.m. Belgrade Fair’s fourteen halls
offer 60.000 sq. m. exhibiting space, and the total exhibiting space of
the outdoor exhibiting space is 40.000 sq.m.
The total area of the Central Hall (Hall 1) is 21,280 sq. m., of which 15,030 sq. m. exhibiting space.
The most outstanding ones by their size are also:
- Hall 2 (9,239 sq. m.),
- Hall 3 (4,438 sq. m.) and
- Hall 14 (11,665 sq. m. of the exhibiting space).
Belgrade Fair disposes with the Conference Facilities:
In Hall 14 there are two Conference Halls with full
technical equipment for all kinds of multilingual gatherings:Big
Conference Hall with 400 seats and the Small Conference Hall with 50
seats. In the Main Building there is also the Festive Hall with 160
seats.
Belgrade Fair disposes the big number of business facilities,
warehouses and workshops in the whole area. Accompanying facilities,
such as post office, bank, travel and transportation agencies, Customs
office and first aid, operate at the Fair. Within the Fair ground,
there are also significant catering facilities of various intention,
from fast food restaurants to first class restaurants.
Belgrade Fair was established in 1937. By its capacities and staff,
Belgrade Fair is capable of rendering various services to the
interested business partners.
In 1957 the 1st International Trade Fair of Technique and Technical
Achievements was organized and held under the domes of a new Fairground
complex as the first trade event that took place at the new fair trade
facilities.
More than 30 regular international fair events take place at Belgrade
Fair annually. The events are characterized by a high organizational
level, so that many of them are members of prominent international
organizations:
- International Fair of Technique and Technical Achievements,
- International Clothing Fair – Fashion in the World,
- International Fair of Furniture, Equipment and Interior Decoration,
- International Building Trade Fair are members of the International Fair Union (UFI, Paris),
- International Motor Show is one of eighteen centers for
exhibiting European automobile industry products, registered with the
Permanent Bureau of Motor Vehicle Manufacturers (OICA, Paris).
In addition to the regular events, numerous exhibitions, concerts,
scientific and specialized meetings take place under Belgrade Fair
domes during the whole year, as well.
MORE than 7.000 companies exhibited at Belgrade Fair in 2003, covering
the overall exhibition area of 132 652 sq. m., and more than 1,500,000
visitors visited it.
INTERNATIONAL PARTICIPATION
Belgrade Fair is the regular member of the following international associations
- International Fair Union (UFI, Paris) since 1958.
- Permanent Bureau of Motor Vehicle Manufacturers (OICA, Paris).
- World Trade Centers Association (WTCA).
- Central European Fair Association (CEFA).
- Exhibition Association of South-Eastern Europe (EASE).
- European Tourism Trade Fair (ETTF).
The establishment of the World Trade Center Belgrade (WTC Belgrade) in
1991 – which is a regular member of World Trade Centers Association
(WTCA, New York), situated in Hall 4 of Belgrade Fair, brought the
company Belgrade Fair into the connection with the most important
places of trading around the world and sophisticated communications
system and enables contacts with clients of over 330 WTCs in 100 member
countries of the WTCA and more than 750.000 companies around the world.
WTC Belgrade provides business services not only to the member
companies from the region, but it also supports all the exhibiting
companies on the occasions of their appearance at Belgrade Fair’s trade
shows providing them with the high quality business services according
to the standard policy of this prestigious business Association.
In the near future the Management of the company Belgrade Fair will
work on fostering and increasing the operation efficiency through
fulfillment of the profit center projects, will make more connection
links with the strategic partners, who require European look and
operation conditions, modernize business process and the infrastructure
(electronic payment system for vehicles and visitors, Hall air
conditioning, traffic road improvement, fountain revitalizing, etc.).
One of the main goals for the future will be also the extension of
trade fair capacities through construction of parking lots, a garage, a
hotel for exhibitors, a modern marina, new Halls, integral
transportation etc.
