Description
Created in 1981, the Parque de Exposições de Braga (P.E.B.) is the only venue in the region which is specially fitted to host fairs, exhibitions, conferences and other events of a socio-cultural, scientific, recreational and sporting type, on a national and an international scale.
Thus, on acknowledging the importance of the event, not only for Braga, but also for the whole surrounding region, in 1977 the Braga Municipality decides to acquire the necessary grounds so as to erect a venue with adequate conditions for staging the Agriculture Show and others targeted at major economic activities in the region, like Furniture and Civil Engineering.
This important step, in conjunction with the formation of a technical and human infrastructure, has definitively launched what the Parque de Exposições de Braga is today.
