Description
The dominant feature of the spacious Main Foyer is a spectacular
terrazzo floor mural based on the work of leading Australian artist,
John Olsen. Escalators, elevators and stairs service the Mezzanine and
Plaza Levels of the Centre from the Main Foyer.
On the Foyer Level Merivales Restaurant, Coffee Shop and Bar provides a
great meeting place for friends for a pre or post event drink or snack
or a friendly chat over a cup of coffee in between conference sessions.
The Restaurant is also popular for the business lunches with diners
choosing from the a la carte menu.
The Centre's Information Desk located in the Main Foyer provides
visitors and delegates with up to the minute information about the
Centre, its facilities and local attractions, activities and touring
information. The Centre is also an agent for Ticketek.
In addition to providing access to the upper levels of the Great Hall,
the Mezzanine Level has nine break-out rooms offering a variety of
configuration and capacities ranging from 24 to 1,100 theatre style and
12 to 640 for banquets.
The Mezzanine Foyer is also available for cocktails or coffee breaks
and can accommodate the delegate registration area for a convention
utilising the Mezzanine Level facilities. A small number of exhibition
and trade booths and poster displays can also be located in this area.
