Innovations and eye-catching exhibitions attracted visitors from 15 countries to the Autumn Fair 2008

Innovative products and services shown at AUTUMN 2008 are the main reasons that have drawn tens of thousands visitors to the Fairground of Plovdiv. These are the preliminary findings of the survey conducted by Alpha Research Agency. 64.3% of the surveyed visitors asserted that the novelties had influenced their decision to attend the 64th International Technical Fair, whereas the highest appraisal had been given to the design and arrangement of the exhibition areas.

211 innovative products appeared at the exhibition stands of the major business forum for investment goods and technologies, held with the participation of 3,202 companies from 45 countries. The Fairground welcomed an average number of 20,000 visitors per day in the period 29 September – 1 October, and the final figures to be available within few days would probably show an increase in the second half of the fair period.

Over 60 % of the visitors to the International Technical Fair were trade visitors, whereas more than half of them belonged to the company management, i.e. owners or representatives of the top management. 93 % of the trade visitors were regular visitors to the International Technical Fair.

The second factor that had provoked visitors’ interest was the presence of the leading companies in all industry sectors covered by the nine international exhibitions organized within the framework of the Autumn Fair. The participation of competitive companies and the great number of exhibitors had also motivated a major part of the managers and experts to come to Plovdiv.  Some 60% stayed in the city for a couple of days.

Ninety-six percent of all visitors were satisfied with the visit to the ITF, while 75% thought that this year’ Autumn Fair was better than the one last year.  According to the survey, 60.2% of the respondents questioned expressed a very good appraisal of the exhibition area design.  The organization of the trade fair met also with high degree of approval as regards provided information services, hygiene, admission control, parking, advertising, etc. International Fair Plovdiv invested some 15 million BGN for the renovation and reconstruction of facilities and infrastructure, provision of new conveniences and services for exhibitors and visitors.

Ninety-seven percent of the survey’s respondents declared their willingness to visit AUTUMN 2009, because they had achieved the goals set for this year’s fair.  The comparison of offers and the observation of new industry trends were realized by over 85% followed by the observation of the competitors, establishment of business contacts and conclusion of contracts.

Nearly 12% of all visitors were international visitors from 14 countries, most of them arrived from Germany, the UK, Greece, Russia, Serbia.

The next International Fair PLOVDIV 2 fairs MEDICUS DENTO GALENIA and SPA AND WELLNESS TOURISM will be held  from October 22-25th, 2008.
