Bulgaria Makes a Breakthrough on Russian Wine Market
24 October 2007
Millions of Russians will enjoy high-quality Moldavian wine. Its presentation will be held during the Conference within the “InterDrink” exhibition on October, 31 in Moscow. But the Moldova wineries should only export high-quality wines if they want to set foot on the vast Russian market. The Moldavian wines should take up the medium segment of the market. "Presently, Bulgaria holds a big share of the wine imports to Russia but most of the wines are cheap high-sugar table varieties," stated the advisor to Russia's Ambassador. One of the problems before the Moldavian wine producers is the shipment of the products to the Russian market. At present, the consignments go through Ukraine and the local customs authorities cause problems and delay the deliveries for days. Info: The 15th International Specialized Exhibition of Alcohol, Soft Drinks and Processing Equipment, INTERDRINK will be held from October 31st to November 2nd 2007, in the International Exhibition centre “EXPOCENTR” (Moscow).
