The future of the modern cities on the CityBuild exhibition

19 October 2007
CityBuild, the International Forum for Architecture, Construction, City Reconstruction, Construction Technologies and Materials in 2007, organized by: Global Expo Exhibition Company, GAO AREC JSC, Tunnel Association of Russia, will be held on October 22 – 25 in Moscow All-Russian Exhibition Centre (AREC).

In a modern city thousands of processes take place every minute. New buildings are growing, old structures torn down; some houses are restored, new roads appear, old ones gradually deteriorate.

Due to ever-increasing investment activity, development of mortgage lending and dramatic increase in governmental support to housing sector almost all the Russian towns and cities to a various extent have entered the stage of rapid city construction. These processes cannot but affect infrastructures of entire cities; city authorities face new problems related to competent, professional and efficient planning of construction and development of municipal infrastructure involved.

All this leads one to believe that holding an exhibition on the whole range of issues related to large-scale construction of buildings and city infrastructure, its development and reconstruction, architectural and engineering design of cities is a matter of relevance and importance.

The exhibition project CityBuild - CITY BUILDING – is a blend of an extensive business program and complementary – but at the same time absolutely independent– exhibits that aim at assistance to the industry’s professionals and city authorities in their search for modern and expert construction solutions, new construction technologies, materials and equipment.
