Heimtextil 2008: International Textile Exhibition. Exhibition and exhibition business news for Ukraine and all over the world

The Heimtextil has been the biggest international trade fair for home and contract textiles for decades. Held over four days in the middle of January as the first trade fair of the year, it serves as a platform for manufacturers, the trade and designers from all over the world. Last year, 2,907 exhibitors from 68 countries presented their products to around 90,000 international trade visitors barely a stone's throw from the city centre, in the halls of Frankfurt Fair and Exhibition Centre. To ensure that the Heimtextil is the highlight of the year for the sector, the organisers, Messe Frankfurt, supplemented the product show by new kinds of presentation and special exhibitions.

For the first time, the contract business, which has already gained a foothold at the Heimtextil with a large number of manufacturers, was given its own, independent profile under the motto, 'Contract Creations', in 2007.  A special pocket guide lists 350 manufacturers of contract textiles for use in offices, hotels, hospitals, the transport sector, etc.

Additionally, the stands of these exhibitors were marked by special Contract Creations logos while, during the run-up to the fair, an online contact forum gave exhibitors and visitors the chance to get in touch and make appointments during the Heimtextil. This year Heimtextil will be held in Frankfurt am Main from 9 to 12 January 2008 in Frankfurt am Maine (Germany).
