MIDEST 2007: The Subcontracting Show

04 October 2007
The 37th MIDEST, the world's leading industrial subcontracting show, will be held from 13th to 16th November 2007 in Paris, bringing together nearly 2,000 exhibitors from some forty countries and around 48,000 visiting customers and subcontractors of 70 different nationalities.

Every year since 1971 Midest has been the global platform for sourcing industrial subcontracting suppliers. It is a show for the forging of partnerships, for monitoring technology. It provides a service for manufacturers, component suppliers and assemblers who want face-to-face meetings with solution providers in the fields of metals, plastics, electronics and industry services.

Very precise sector divisions means that each of the subcontracting trades can be represented and regional and national expertise can be brought together to deliver a unique choice of solutions through individual know how. The range is comprehensive: metal, plastic, rubber and composite material processing, electronics and electrical, microtechniques and industry services.

Launched in 2006, with François Loos, Minister of State for Industry in French government as patron, the Midest Awards provide recognition for subcontractors who have demonstrated their excellence in the following categories: International, Organization, Outstanding Implementations, and Innovation.

In 2007, the Midest Awards are becoming international. The European Awards will provide recognition for exhibitors from one of the 27 member countries of the European Union for excellence in the Innovation and Outstanding Implementation categories. Special Prizes will also be awarded to four companies (whatever their nationality) in the Innovation and Outstanding Implementation categories.
