Anuga Food Exhibition from Oct. 13
05 October 2007
MUSCAT: The Omani Centre for Investment Promotion and Export Development (Ociped) has held the final preparatory meeting for Anuga Food Exhibition to be held from October 13 to 17 in Cologne, Germany.
The meeting, conducted by Faris Al Farsi, acting director-general for export development and his team, was attended by representatives of five Omani food industries. The participation at the Anuga Food Expo is in line with Ociped’s objective to increase non-oil Omani origin exports and comes after successfully participating in the International Boston Seafood show in March.
Anuga Food Exhibition is organized by KoelnMesse GMBH, Germany, a global food exhibitor, which targets importers from all over the world, including Omani target markets like Africa, Arab countries, and the AGCC etc.
Al Farsi informed that Ociped has booked 60 sq. meters of exhibition space and six Omani companies will be participating in this important international exhibition. Ociped has engaged Swiss Import Promotion Programme (SIPPO), Switzerland, to assist in identifying importers for Omani exhibitors and also arrange matchmaking meetings between importers and Omani exporters during Anuga Food Exhibition.
