PGA Australia regains control of industry show
03 October 2007
The PGA of Australia and Reed Exhibitions Australia recently announced they have reached agreement for the ownership of the annual PGA Golf Show to return to the PGA of Australia, the the Show’s original owner. The transfer of ownership is a consequence of a shift in Reed’s core business and a desire for the PGA to have greater input in this important industry showcase event. PGA of Australia Chief Executive Officer, Max Garske thanked Reed Exhibitions for their dedicated work over the past seven years, taking the PGA Golf Show to new heights. Reed Exhibitions first took over the staging and management of the PGA Golf Show back in 2001 when it was held at the Sydney Showgrounds at Homebush Bay. The 2001 Show was staged with great success and fittingly the recently held PGA Golf Show on the Gold Coast attracted positive industry support and solid crowd numbers both on the trade and public days. The PGA of Australia is currently considering its options and will be consulting with the industry to ensure the future format of the PGA Golf Show will suit the changing landscape of the Australian golf industry.
