The International Baking Industry Exposition (IBIE)

The International Baking Industry Exposition (IBIE) will be held in Orlando, Florida October 7-10, 2007. IBIE is recognized worldwide as the event that introduces new baking technology while providing complete equipment, ingredient, supply and business solutions to baking professionals throughout the grain-based food industry.
Held for the first time in Orlando, Florida USA at the Orange County Convention Center, IBIE’s new location was selected to attract new regional and international buyers to the event.
An anticipated 800 exhibiting companies will showcase 500,000 net square feet of exhibits to 20,000 attendees from all segments of the industry. Sponsored by the American Bakers Association (ABA) and the Baking Industry Suppliers Association (BEMA), IBIE is a “working show,” where millions of dollars of business is transacted daily during the four days of the event.
ABA is a voluntary trade association dedicated to representing the interests of the wholesale baking industry before the United States Congress, state legislatures, and international regulatory authorities. Formed in 1897, ABA tackles key issues on behalf of grain-based foods and initiates key reforms to make positive impacts on the industry; ABA is committed to promoting public policy that is in the best interest of the baking industry.
BEMA is an international trade association representing bakery and food equipment manufacturers, companies that provide ingredients, packaging materials and vehicles, and service providers including publishers, consultant and financial services. Formed in 1918, BEMA is dedicated to furthering the professionalism of its members with programs that enhance communications and promote technological advancement, education, safety, marketing and good manufacturing practices.
