Greenstar Expo and Awards

Environmentally friendly companies and organizations are being awarded. The Greenstar Expo and Awards panel wants to celebrate businesses, individuals and community groups in Durham that are making a difference in the community. The panel is accepting nominations for the first-ever awards until Oct. 12. However, the panel will not consider anyone who nominates themselves. There are three categories, Youth Star Award, Conservation and Community Star Award and Business Star Award. One winner in each category will be announced at the awards ceremony on Nov. 1 at the expo at the Ajax Community Centre. The winners will receive an award and $1,000 to donate to a Durham-based non-profit or charitable environmental organization of their choice. Source: www.greenstarexpoandawards.com
