Business Expo best and biggest ever held

28 September 2007
South Wilts Business Expo - Salisbury's annual business exhibition - took place in the City Hall yesterday with organisers and exhibitors saying it lived up to its promise of being the best and biggest yet.

Expo, which is organised by Salisbury and District Chamber of Commerce and Industry, gives businesses the opportunity to show off their products and services to fellow exhibitors and to members of the public. On the Tuesday before Expo, the Holiday Inn Salisbury-Stonehenge hosted a party to enable the 60-plus exhibitors to meet one another and relax before the big day.

The party also gave the hotel, which opened in June, the chance to show off its facilities, which include two meeting rooms, a bar and restaurant, and 100 rooms featuring internet access and interactive TVs.

Chamber president Ian Hudson said he was pleased that Expo continued to attract new exhibitors. He paid tribute to chamber executive officer Catherine Dunning and promised: "This year's Expo is going to be the best and the biggest yet."

This year's theme was Stepping into the Limelight. There was a VIP lounge for exhibitors and a networking café where visitors could enjoy a cup of exhibitor Andrew Bunt's Country Coffee.
