AUTO EXPO 2008: Showtime for the Indian auto industry

 The Auto Expo is scheduled at the time when the Indian Automotive Industry is on its way to become an active player in the global automotive scenario. “Mobility for All” is the theme for Auto Expo 2008. To support and sustain this theme, the Auto Expo 2008 will have a series of international quality automobiles on display, for every category of customers in India. Tata Motors is displaying its much-talked about “People’s Car” at the expo, which has started on January, 10. Auto Expo 2008 will have largest ever overseas participation with country pavilions from Canada, China, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, Malaysia, Spain, Taiwan, UK and USA. For the first time, Auto Expo is covering an area of over 100,000 sqmtrs spread into 18 permanent halls, 10 temporary halls being created by using international hanger structures, and a number of State Pavilions. Around 2000 participants covering the entire gamut of the Automotive Industry from around the world. This has a 60% Indian and 40% overseas participation.
